Maxime Plancque’s universe is made of tribes of tall and slender beings, dynamic but powerfully grounded in earth characters. Mobile on their base, these revolving silhouettes are source for endless expressions.
First trained as a coppersmith, the artist works on round or square-shaped soft wrought iron bars, heated in a furnace to 1300°, melting point of metal, and where magic can take place. Matter then becomes malleable and source for endless possibilities.
